Our story

For years now I’ve dreamed of living on acres and acres of land. I could feel this desire to my core, but it was never really explainable. See, I am a city girl. I like fancy things, being clean, and looking nice. I was always in a full face of makeup with my hair curled, nails painted, fancy purse, all the fancy things. That was until the day I found flowers.

I still remember the night that I was first introduced to dahlias. It was love at first sight. I went to a big box store and purchased a tuber. Yeah, an ugly dirty potato looking thing that would supposedly bring me a beautiful flower was what started my flower journey. On the drive home, my husband showed me a video about growing dahlias and that is what started my love of flowers.

As with most things in my life, I dove in headfirst. I don’t really know how to do things small. The next day, I bought 50 dahlias, and my daughter and I worked on planting them! Little did we know that we were about to have four weeks straight of rain and the majority of our dahlias wouldn’t make it.

The next week we started zinnia seeds, a 72-count tray because again nothing can just be a few! Those zinnias grew 5 feet tall and bloomed all summer! Beautiful shades of pink, purple, and yellow!

During the next year and a half, I grew many flowers from seed, purchased hundreds of shrubs, perennials, and annuals. I truly fell in love with flowers. I love that there is always more to learn, and I spend most days learning as much as I can about flowers!

In the summer, my husband, daughter, and I went to a u pick flower farm and cut some beautiful flower bouquets. It was so amazing, but I kept thinking that I could do it better! I went home that night and finally put my flower farm dreams on paper to share with my family. We took the leap of faith to find land for our home and flower farm. By the end of the week, we had an offer accepted on 8 acres of land.

We are now in the process of building our flower farm and making all of my dreams come true. You may never meet someone who truly loves flowers the way that I do, and I can’t wait to share my love with you.
